Karl Trosclair

About Karl

Karl born sometime in the 20th Century and was raised in Norfolk, Cornwall and Louisiana. He worked for many years as a welder in the Oil and Gas Industry working on all five Continents as a result. Fifteen years ago he decided to change direction and began selling Vinyl online.

Music has always been one of his passions and as a self confessed Vinyl Junkie he felt that he had found his true vocation.

Karl also used this as an opportunity to develop his other great interest, Art and began designing mailers for packaging his records as a way of adding something extra for his clients. The reaction was overwhelmingly positive and he has now sent thousands of customised mailers all over the world including one to us here at VimyArts. Through this he then started to paint canvases and experimenting with other media. He has recently been commissioned to paint the frontage for a Bar and a shop in his hometown of Gorleston-on-Sea and is in the process of doing more large scale canvases.

His work is inspired mostly by Music/Cultural Icons and he tries to incorporate Portraiture with Abstract Illusions to time and space. He belongs to a loose collective of artists/poets/musicians and entrepreneurs who are trying to develop a renaissance of sorts for their glorious seaside town which they have re-branded as "The Stone" and as such they are known collectively as "The Stone Massive".
