Interview with Mr Bunny

What inspired you to become an artist?

I've always known art would form my career but never knew how in the early days , I tattooed for many years and had a great passion for graffiti but always preferred producing work for my own pleasure so becoming an 'artist' became the natural progression.

Do you make a living off your art?

Yes just this year I turned full time with my art and already enjoying the opportunities that it is bringing me.

What's the most indispensable item in your studio?

My paint pens, aerosol's and acrylics are my most used materials, but I usually describe my work as mixed media as love just mixing everything together.

Where do your ideas come from? Ideas come from any and everywhere, words and images, and a lot of work is inspired by my life experiences,

Do you collect anything?

I collect rabbit art and ornaments, this started with friends giving me gifts and built into a large display case worth and is still growing.

What's the last artwork you purchased?

A stunning Cherie Strong piece, her work is fantastic.

What's the first artwork you ever sold?

Hmmm.....long time ago and can't remember what it even was .

Who's your favourite living artist?

Dank, his graffiti ....wow ....so colourful and vibrant.

Who's your favourite dead artist?

Salvador Dali and H.R. Giger, both inspired my work.

If you couldn't create art what would you do?

I really don't know, I've tried a lot of other work and nothing is as satisfying as producing art is.

What's your favourite thing you've ever created?

The large piece in the above image, Bunny war mask produced for my solo show
